MILKHALL MOJIKO

A retro coffee shop where you can enjoy Taisho Romanticism with classic puddings and other items.

Last update :

“Milk Hall" was a restaurant that gained popularity during the Meiji and Taisho periods, and was a kind of predecessor to cafes that served milk and light meals. Located overlooking the Kanmon Straits in the Mojiko area with its retro townscape, this is another restaurant with a variety of menu items inspired by the Taisho era.

The “Mojiko Pudding”, a signature item on the menu that has undergone repeated improvements, is rich in egg flavor and firm in texture, but also smooth on the tongue. The restaurant also offers other old-fashioned menu items such as Napolitan on a silver platter and emerald green floats. The tableware and cups are also consistent with the atmosphere of the restaurant, creating a space that is perfect for retro lovers.

The coffee, available in three varieties: "Roman", "High Color" and "Retro", is a "Milk Hall" original blend roasted in-house by “COFFEEBOY”, a specialty coffee shop in Kokura. Its subtle sweetness and light texture make it a perfect match for the pudding. Mojiko's local gourmet "Yaki Curry '' is another popular menu item.
