Mt. Moriyoshi Ani Ski Resort
A ski resort with fine powder snow where you can ski while viewing the spectacular juhyo (snow monsters / frost-covered trees).
Mt. Moriyoshi at an elevation of 1,454 meters, the ski resort boasts an abundant amount of snow and high-quality powder snow.
The gondola rides up to the summit station, located at an elevation of 1,200 meters, and long ski runs can be enjoyed all the way down to the foot of the mountain.
There are three courses for beginners. The "Rakuraku Course," which uses the lift to the starting point, has an average slope of 6 degrees, the gentlest of all the courses.
The "Sunshine Course" and the long "Paradise Course," which is 2,800 meters long, allow skiers to enjoy the view of the juhyo, which is one of the "Three Greatest Juhyo in Japan" along with Zao and other areas.
The "Challenge Course" near the summit is recommended for intermediate skiers.
The course is not groomed, which skiers long to ski, and the varied course settings, including bumps, are very appealing. The technical "Tsuki-no-wa Course" with its challenging curves is also worth challenging.
During the season, skiing and snowboarding schools are offered, allowing first-timers to improve their skills in a short time.
