The farm gives a sweeping view of Mt. Asama, famous for the strawberry picking available throughout the year. The Summer / Autumn Strawberry Picking is held from July to November, and The Premium Winter Strawberry Picking is held from late December to June.
The Summer / Autumn Strawberry picking features three species - Karuizawa Summer Queen, Suzu Akane and Pechica Honoka.
Depending on how the crop is growing, you could compare the taste of different varieties.
There are some strawberry-picking experience courses such as the "Sell-by-Weight Course," which allows visitors to pick 250 grams of strawberries per pack, and the "Sell-by-Weight Course with a take-home souvenir," which includes a choice of souvenirs such as special strawberry jam.
The Premium Winter Strawberry Picking features 8 species such as staple Beni-Hoppe and Yotsu-Boshi. It is also nice that some courses offer an opportunity to pick rare varieties of white strawberries
The original smoothie is made of 100% Karuizawa strawberries one cup at a time in a food truck, which is a must-try.
