Sanmangoku Co., Ltd. “Mamadoru”

Sanmangoku, a confectionery maker representing Koriyama City, Fukushima, was founded in 1946 shortly after the war. Since its founding, the company has continued to make a wide variety of Japanese and Western confections without changing its commitment to selecting high-quality ingredients. Sanmangoku's representative confection "Mamadoru" has been loved for over 50 years since its release in 1967, and has become a standard souvenir from Fukushima.

The "Mamadoru", made with butter dough, filled with milk bean paste and baked, is named after the Spanish word for "milk-drinking child," and as the name implies, it has a moist and gentle taste. The bite-size pieces are easy to eat, and the sweet bean paste loosens up as you put it in your mouth.
