This park was opened in 1973 with the aim of becoming a famous hydrangea garden. Hydrangeas are planted throughout the cozy park, which takes advantage of the oak, konara oak, and other trees left in the hollows. After the park opened, the surrounding trees grew and blocked the sunlight of the sun-loving hydrangeas, causing them to temporarily become endangered. From December 1996 to March 1997, a new management method called "sprouting renewal" was implemented, in which trees are cut down from the base and new shoots are grown, and the area was reborn with a new beauty. During the season, 1,500 lovely hydrangeas bloom in profusion, creating a magical atmosphere throughout the park.

The best time to view the flowers is usually from mid to late June. A wide variety of hydrangeas, including Western hydrangeas and Gaku hydrangeas, bloom and delight the eyes of visitors with their many colors, including white, pink, blue, and purple. The "Hydrangea Festival" is usually held in conjunction with the hydrangea blooming season, and includes a hydrangea pruning class and walking events.
