Fruit Park Youhei
An orchard where you can enjoy juicy pears without any time limit.
At "Fruit Park Youhei," spanning approximately 10,000 m², fruit cultivation is carried out with a focus on organic fertilizers and low pesticide use. Pear picking is offered from early August to mid-October, allowing visitors to enjoy sweet, juicy pears to their heart's content without any time restrictions.
The farm cultivates about 500 trees of 14 varieties of pears, including the crispy and juicy "Kosui," the "Hosui" with a perfect balance of sweetness and acidity, and the late-ripening "Niitaka." Visitors can harvest the ripe variety during their visit. The harvested pears are to be peeled with a provided plastic knife and can be enjoyed at covered table seats or within the pear orchard. Note that leftovers and taking pears home are not allowed, so it's wise not to harvest too many at once.
Besides the all-you-can-eat option, individual pears are also available for sale. A farm stand sells take-home pears, including varieties not covered by the pear-picking activity, such as "20th Century" and "La France."
