Sugadaira Kogen is known as the "Davos of Japan" for its Swiss-like scenery and climate, and is also known for its high-quality powder snow. The resort is called "Sugadaira Kogen Resort" because of the small and medium-sized slopes scattered at the foot of Mt. Neko, and has 3 areas; Pine Beak, Taro, and Davos, with 60 different courses on 11 slopes.

The resort is equipped with snow machines, thanks to which visitors can ski comfortably from early December to late March without worrying about lack of snow. The highlight is Mt. Neko Snowcat, which offers an exhilarating 4-km long course from the top of Mt. Neko. The slopes are patrolled by authorized patrols, and the Sugadaira Kogen Clinic, equipped with x-ray machines, is also a reassuring feature.

Guided tours on a snowmobile "Snowcat" are also popular. A local guide will take you on a 25-minute tour of Mt. Neko and other mountains you can see from there. The 4-km downhill ride while enjoying the magnificent scenery is very refreshing.
