Last update :

A mountain resort with a spectacular view where visitors can enjoy the fresh greenery in spring, the fresh green of the plateau in summer, and the three-tiered autumn leaves of the Northern Alps in fall. The snow resort, which opens in winter, offers a 360° panoramic view of a fantastic silvery-white world and a variety of courses on natural terrain stretching from east to west, and north to south. The "Iwatake Back Bowl", one of the largest powder areas in the area, offers the feeling of skiing in the Alps, and there are also long courses that can be enjoyed by beginner skiers as well.

In addition to the variety of course layouts that take advantage of the natural terrain, there is also the "IWATAKE WHITE PARK" in the summit area, where "non-skiers" who do not ski or snowboard can enjoy a walk with snowshoes, a Kamakura, and a bonfire in the snow. The "Yaho Swing presented by Nyan Cat Wars", a swing with a spectacular view, is popular during both the winter and green seasons.

At the top of the 1,289-meter-high Mt. Iwatake, accessed by gondola, is the popular HAKUBA MOUNTAIN HARBOR, a café and terrace with a spectacular view overlooking the Northern Alps. The terrace is open both in winter and green season, and is recommended during the season of fresh greenery and autumn foliage. The popular New York bakery "THE CITY BAKERY" is located on the terrace and offers a limited menu using ingredients unique to Hakuba, so be sure to check it out.

  • Come and experience the ski slopes used by Olympic athletes! Seriously cool—absolutely awesome!

  • Hakuba Iwatake Ski Resort's highest elevation is 1,289 meters, which is a bit lower compared to other places in Hakuba, but the snow is super soft and powdery. Since it's not so high up, there are lots of sunny days ☀️. This is the place to go! 😆

  • Hakuba Ski Village covers a huge area and the mountains are really tall—definitely one of the top spots. The snow quality is excellent, and besides skiing, you can also stay at one of the hot spring hotels here ❤️. Totally worth coming for a ski trip! 👍
