Sara Soba Jinbei

Located in the castle town of Izushi, which is also known as "Tajima's Little Kyoto," the historic streetscape has been designated as an Important Traditional Building Preservation District. With a history dating back to the Edo period, Izushi is famous for its "Izushi soba" with the motto "freshly ground, freshly made, freshly boiled" and is one of the top soba destinations in Kansai, with about 40 soba restaurants.

The impressive Japanese atmosphere of "Jinbei" is filled with a welcoming spirit, where three generations of the family have pursued the art of soba-making, continuing the tradition since its establishment. The Izushi soba style is unique, with a set of five small Izushi-yaki plates of soba and condiments, and you can add extra plates of soba depending on your appetite. The small servings per plate, combined with a variety of condiments such as raw egg and yam, guarantee that you'll enjoy more than you expect. The combination of firm soba and rich broth pairs perfectly with local sake. If you eat more than 17 plates by yourself, you will receive a "Soba Expert Certificate."
