The shopping street stretches about 580m from the south side of Nagahori-dori in the center of Osaka City to Soemon-cho-dori. Various shops, including cosmetics shops, apparel stores, drugstores, accessory shops, 100 yen shops, and musical instrument stores, line up on both sides of the street. With the long-established department store Daimaru Shinsaibashi Store and large stores of famous apparel brands, it is a shopping area that attracts many customers every day, showcasing the best of Osaka's liveliness.

There are many restaurants and cafes, so there's no problem with food. There are also shops selling Osaka's famous takoyaki and kushikatsu, which are popular with both locals and tourists. There is a good selection of takeaway gourmet foods, so you can enjoy eating while shopping.

From the 'Ebisubashi' at the southern end of the shopping street, you can see the Glico sign, a landmark of Osaka, up close. It is a unique Osaka photo spot, and many people take pictures on holidays.
