A beloved Osaka confection with over 100 years of history, Tsurigane Manju is the signature product of Tsuriganeya Honpo, a long-established sweets shop in Shinsekai, Osaka, founded in 1900 (Meiji 33). This bell-shaped manju is named after the Great Bell of Shitennoji Temple, which is located near the main store. Cherished by locals for generations, it is recognized as an iconic Osaka delicacy.

Each Tsurigane Manju is crafted with meticulous attention to detail. The generous filling of smooth koshi-an (strained red bean paste) is made exclusively from carefully selected premium Hokkaido-grown azuki beans. The surrounding castella dough is prepared using a proprietary blend of ingredients, then rested overnight to enhance its moisture and texture. This dedication to tradition results in a nostalgic, delicately sweet, and comforting flavor.

Individually wrapped for convenience, Tsurigane Manju makes for a perfect souvenir. Available in packs of 3, 5, or 10, it’s easy to share with family and friends. Additionally, seasonal variations such as Mikan (mandarin) bean paste are released for a limited time, making each visit to Tsuriganeya Honpo a new discovery.
