Ginzan Onsen Fujiya Inn with Eight Rooms

Experience the extraordinary in this stylish hot spring inn.

Last update :

The hot spring inn "Ginzan Onsen Fujiya Inn with Eight Rooms" stands out with its modern design by architect Kengo Kuma. Tracing its origins to the Edo period, this historic inn underwent a renovation in 2006. While its wooden three-story exterior seamlessly blends with the surrounding townscape, the interior unveils a modern ambiance, partitioned by bamboo filters called "sumushiko" and stained glass filters named "Dalle de Verre."

The inn boasts only eight rooms. They come in three variations: Type A with a Japanese-style room or Western-style room and a broad veranda, Type B with a Japanese-style room and broad veranda, and Type C with a Japanese-style room and an adjoining covered porch. All rooms face the Ginzan River. Each is equipped with a washbasin and toilet, while Type A also features a private bath. Every room creates a soothing ambiance with hand-made Japanese paper illuminated by gentle lighting, offering a space to relax.

Instead of a communal bathhouse, guests can enjoy five private baths, each with a unique theme, such as "Bamboo Bath" and "Hiba Bath." The private nature of these baths allows guests to indulge in the Ginzan Onsen waters without time constraints. Furthermore, the inn offers dishes highlighting local ingredients from the Tohoku region, ensuring every aspect of your stay exudes an extraordinary experience.
