Located in Noshiro City, Futatsui Town, in the northern part of Akita Prefecture, this is a prefectural natural park. Known as one of Akita Prefecture's prime scenic spots, you can enjoy the changing landscapes of the four seasons - spring cherry blossoms, early summer azaleas, autumn leaves, and winter snowscapes. It is said that during Emperor Meiji's tour of the Tohoku region, he was deeply moved by the beauty of the area upon receiving a message from the Empress here, and subsequently named the place "Kimimachizaka."

Within the expansive park grounds, there are many power spots related to romance and good matches. These include the "Love Letter Postbox," which stamps a cute heart mark when used; the "Couple's Rock," which is said to fulfill the wishes of couples; and the "Love Letter Shrine," believed to bring about successful romance and marital harmony. The "Kimi-machi Bell" has a popular legend among couples that if they ring it together, they will stay together forever.

The park is also renowned for its autumn colors, with the main attraction being the combined beauty of Byobu Rock in the First Square and the fall foliage. The white rock face of tuff protruding, adorned with glossy leaves dyed in red and yellow, presents a view reminiscent of a painted canvas. The vivid autumn colors that blanket the ground with a carpet of leaves are also splendid.
