Nishi-no-Miyabi Tokiwa
An entertainment ryokan popular for its five unique baths and the 'Okami Gekijo' performance.
An entertainment ryokan in Yuda Onsen, popular with a wide range of ages and often featured on TV.
The main attraction is the 'Okami Gekijo,' a daily show (except during the New Year holidays) that has been running for about 60 years. The okami (female innkeeper) herself performs, showcasing a variety of acts like magic shows, water tricks, taiko drumming, and koto playing. With over an hour of entertainment, it's a highly satisfying program that's sure to lift your spirits.
The onsen itself is also a highlight. Enjoy five unique baths, including a rustic stone open-air bath and a stone bath imported from China, inspired by Yang Guifei. Many rooms, including the top-floor executive floor and the modern rooms renovated in 2022, feature open-air baths with the inn's own spring water. The cuisine, praised for its use of local ingredients like Yamaguchi seafood, beef, and fresh vegetables, is overseen by the culinary master Tadata Michimichi. Seasonal plans featuring luxury ingredients like fugu and nodoguro are also available.
