Located just steps from JR Tanesashi Kaigan Station, this dining spot sits right in front of the scenic Tanesashi Coast in a national park and serves dishes made with an abundance of fresh local seafood.

Menu highlights include the Iso Set Meal, featuring sashimi, ichigo-ni (a clear soup with abalone and sea urchin), fresh sea urchin, and abalone served as mizugai, as well as the Grilled Fish Set Meal with items such as silver cod, flounder, and hokke. A variety of exceptional rice bowls are also available, including the Fresh Sea Urchin and Salmon Roe Bowl.
Most notably, the Uni Don (egg-bound)-a sea urchin rice bowl gently bound with egg-is said to have originated here and is a must-try. The set comes with sashimi, a simmered dish, mekabu seaweed miso soup, pickles, and more, allowing you to fully savor the traditional flavors of Tanesashi.

If you have room, it’s also recommended to try à la carte dishes such as abalone sashimi or grilled fish (Kinkin), as well as noodle options like Mekabu Ramen or Chinese-style noodles.

Please note that during winter, the restaurant may close earlier than usual, so it’s best to call ahead to confirm opening hours.
