Kandatsu Snow Resort

Located just about 3 minutes from the Kan-Etsu Expressway Yuzawa IC, this snow resort offers a magnificent view of the grand Echigo mountain range.

As the closest ski resort with 100% natural snow from the Kanto area, it attracts many advanced skiers and snowboarders. The main slope, located on the northeastern hillside, is ideally positioned, making it popular for its high-quality snow and ample snowfall.

The resort boasts impressive mobility with 3 quad lifts and 3 pair lifts, providing a stress-free experience with minimal delays. Covering a total course area of 130 hectares, it features a diverse range of 16 slopes suitable for beginners to advanced skiers.

The snow park is particularly well-equipped, with various parks on standby. It includes different areas such as kickers and slides for snowboarders, as well as powder and mogul sections. These provide opportunities for various styles of skiing and snowboarding. The park also includes a terrain park using walls, supervised by professional snowboarder Atsushi Ishikawa, perfect for intermediate and advanced enthusiasts looking to refine their techniques.

The resort also includes a comprehensive bathing facility with a large communal bath, an open-air bath, and a sauna. The Yuzawa area's largest bathing facility can accommodate up to 400 people, offering a spacious place to relax and rejuvenate after a day on the slopes. Bathing facility users also have free access to a large relaxation space.
