Koedo Kurari

This complex facility utilizes the site of the old Kagamiyama Brewery, a sake brewery established in 1875 and representative of Kawagoe. It aims to facilitate interaction between locals and tourists and revitalizes the region, while broadly introducing Kawagoe's specialties and local products.

The spacious premises, retaining the ambiance of old times, house three warehouses named "Meiji Warehouse," "Taisho Warehouse," and "Showa Warehouse," each corresponding to the period they were built. The "Meiji Warehouse" serves as a souvenir shop, selling long-lasting snacks and cute folk crafts. There's also the "Kura Café" where visitors can enjoy light meals and soft drinks. The "Taisho Warehouse," which conveys the typical appearance of a sake brewery, operates as a dining area offering local cuisine made from regional produce. Here, one can indulge in Kawagoe-themed meals like sweet potato-based dishes, Musashino udon, and Kawagoe Sangenton pork belly in the relaxed atmosphere of the warehouse. The stately "Showa Warehouse," built in 1931, functions as a tasting area, where sake from all over Saitama Prefecture, ranking fourth in national sake production, is showcased.

As a hub for Kawagoe tourism, this spot is visited by many tourists throughout the year.
