BIJUU "Kyo Baum"

Using quintessential Kyoto ingredients like matcha and soy milk, Kyo Baum is a Baumkuchen delicately baked by skilled artisans. With stores in popular tourist spots such as Kiyomizuzaka, Arashiyama, and Kyoto Tower, it is a highly popular Kyoto souvenir.

It uses carefully selected ingredients, including Uji matcha from the historic tea shop "Morihan," founded in 1836, soy milk made from Kyoto’s underground water, and flour from Hokkaido. The Baumkuchen consists of three layers of matcha and soy milk batter, coated with matcha fondant. Enjoy it moist and fluffy at room temperature, or chilled for a crunchy fondant texture, making the eating experience different and enjoyable.

At the Kyo Baum stores in Kiyomizuzaka and Arashiyama, you can also find sablé and chocolate made from the same ingredients as Kyo Baum. They offer takeout sweets perfect for on-the-go, such as "Walking Kyo Baum" sticks and "Kyo Baum Soft" topped with soft-serve ice cream (availability may vary by season).

In November 2023, "atelier Kyo Baum" opened in Kyoto City. This new location will offer exclusive products, factory tours where you can see Kyo Baum being made, and a café with various sweets.
