Gutto Yamagata (Yamagata Prefecture Tourism & Products Hall Co., Ltd.)

A tourism and local products hall with the best selection in Yamagata Prefecture.

Last update :

A product hall where you can find everything from local specialties and regional products from across Yamagata Prefecture to traditional crafts. Inside, it’s divided into three main areas: the “Souvenir Shop Area” lined with prefecture-made products, the “Food Court Area” where you can easily enjoy Yamagata flavors, and the outdoor “Tenant Area.”

In the “Souvenir Shop Area,” around 4,000 items, including Yamagata specialties and renowned sake, are gathered all in one place. You’ll find everything lined up, from traditional signature sweets by long-established confectioners and their proud pickles to processed foods made with Yonezawa beef, a Yamagata specialty. Seasonal fruits like cherries and La France pears are also available, and at the food court you can casually enjoy Yamagata-only eats such as Yamagata-grown soba, Yonezawa beef steak bowls, and cherry gelato.

In April 2023, it reopened after a renovation with major layout changes across each booth. In addition, a new “Nigiwai no Machi” area was added, featuring four well-known Yamagata shops, including gelato and bakeries. With dining space set up in front of the shops, you can also enjoy freshly made treats.
