Roadside Station Iwaki Lalamew

A tourism and local products center at Onahama Port in Fukushima Prefecture. With the catchphrase “All the best of Iwaki, all in one place,” it provides local specialties and travel information for Iwaki City.

On the facility’s “Seafood Gourmet Street,” you can savor fresh seafood while taking in views of the beautiful ocean. Seafood rice bowls made with seasonal fish, especially salmon roe, are a signature menu item. The souvenir area is also well stocked. At the full-scale market streets “Seafood Market Street” and “Seafood Hometown Souvenir Street,” which deliver on freshness, selection, and price, you can buy Iwaki specialties such as dried fish and the local favorite mehikari, making the area lively with visitors on weekends.

Bike rentals are also available, and by registering at “Cycle Station IWAKI Ride,” you can enjoy sightseeing around Iwaki by bicycle, which makes it easy to get around.

Since April 2021, marking 10 years since the Great East Japan Earthquake, it has been gaining even more momentum through active efforts such as launching new initiatives and opening new shops.
