With its open, scenic setting and campground, this park is also a favorite with locals.

Last update :

Right on the shores of Naganuma—the largest natural lake in Miyagi Prefecture—this park opens up into wide views and plenty of room to roam. You’ll find a spacious multipurpose field of Approx. 20,000 m², a 111-meter roller slide, an athletic play area, a campground, and more. On top of a gentle hill stands the park’s symbol: a windmill over 21 meters tall, imported from the Netherlands.

With clean air and a lush, wide-open setting, it’s an easy place to spend the whole day—whether you’re walking or cycling. On clear days, you can see Mt. Kurikoma in the Ou Mountains beyond Naganuma, and the park gets lively with many families on weekends and holidays.

The paid campground inside the park can be selected based on your needs from three areas: an auto campsite with 10 sites, a general campground that can accommodate Approx. 200 people, and a lawn camping area. Each area has a cooking facility and a sanitation building, so it’s a beginner-friendly setup for day use and barbecues as well.
