JIYUGAOKA de aone

JIYUGAOKA de aone, opened in October 2023 along Gakuen-dori in Jiyugaoka, is a new urban shopping mall with a fresh concept, distinct from the suburban malls typically developed by AEON Mall.

The mall, which spans two basement floors and four above-ground floors, houses 27 stores, including restaurants, cafés, food retailers, lifestyle goods, and interior shops. The selection caters to both local residents and visitors to Jiyugaoka from other areas. Notably, the basement features the PEACOCK STORE, a supermarket that had operated in this location for over 50 years before the mall's construction.

The warm, natural aesthetic of the outdoor spaces, such as the first-floor wooden deck and the large staircase leading to the second floor, is achieved through extensive use of Tama-sourced cypress. The third floor offers a spacious terrace surrounded by greenery, while the fourth floor, with benches, serves as a popular resting spot for those needing a break from exploring the area. Various events are held on the terrace, especially on weekends, further enhancing the mall's community appeal.
