A large-scale complex built on the former Umeda Freight Station site, GRAND GREEN OSAKA is located just steps from JR Osaka Station. It consists of the South Building, North Building, and Umekita Park. Part of the facility opened in September 2024, with the grand opening scheduled for March 21, 2025, and the full completion planned for FY2027.

The highlight of the project is Umekita Park, which spans approximately 45,000 m². As one of the world’s largest urban parks directly connected to a major terminal station, it’s divided into two main zones. The South Park features a vast lawn area, a large event space with a roof, and a fountain zone, creating a relaxing natural environment right in the heart of the city. The North Park is home to “Umekita Forest,” a green oasis with a dynamic pond and waterfall. Within the park, visitors can also find cafés, restaurants, and museums.

Inside the complex, there’s a wide variety of shops and dining options, as well as Umekita Onsen REN Wellbeing Park, where guests can unwind in nano mist saunas and stone baths.

Additionally, the site hosts three major hotels - Canopy by Hilton Osaka Umeda, Waldorf Astoria Osaka, and Hotel Hankyu Grand Respia Osaka - making it a convenient hub for both sightseeing and business.

  • There are so many places to eat inside Time Out Market! So many options, I couldn't decide what to try. It gets super crowded on weekends, so you'll have to wait a bit to find a seat.

  • It feels like a little oasis in the city! There are shops, restaurants, and relaxing spaces, plus lots of green areas and walking paths. Walking around here is really comfortable and doesn't feel crowded at all. The vibe is laid-back but stylish, perfect for shopping, grabbing coffee, or hanging out with friends. At night, the lights make it pretty romantic too. It's a great spot in Osaka to relax and take photos.
