Shimafumi

A bakery cafe in a prime location overlooking Mano Bay on Sado Island, a remote island in Niigata Prefecture. It serves bread made with house-made natural yeast, along with plates, pasta, curry, and more made with ingredients from Sado. In addition to indoor table and counter seating, there are plenty of terrace seats overlooking the sea, where you can relax while enjoying Sado's ocean breeze and the sound of the waves.

The bakery's signature bread is baked with great care using house-made natural yeast cultivated from fruit grown on Sado, along with carefully selected ingredients such as flour and water. The lineup ranges from soft to crusty breads, including bagels, koppe rolls, and bacon epi. There is also a wide variety of meal options, with the "Sado Geopark Plate," which lets you enjoy Sado vegetables and seafood on one plate, especially recommended. Rich soft serve ice cream made with local "Goto Milk" and house-made sweets are also available. Bread and sweets are also available for takeout.
