In addition to classic items such as manju and dorayaki, “Mofudora” has become especially popular in recent years. This steamed dorayaki is inspired by the Akita dog and is known for its fluffy outer layer that recalls the breed’s soft fur.
Inside the moist and fluffy steamed batter is plenty of homemade chunky sweet red bean paste. In addition to “Mofudora (Chunky Sweet Red Bean Paste),” filled only with red bean paste, they also sell “Mofudora (with Margarine),” which includes margarine with a pleasantly salty touch. Both offer an exquisite balance between the soft, fluffy crust and the delicate texture of the bean paste. Its light taste makes it a favorite with everyone from children to adults, and customers keep coming back for more.
