Lina World
An amusement park where you can enjoy all 23 rides, from Sanrio collab attractions to thrill rides.
Located in Kaminoyama City, Yamagata Prefecture, this is one of the largest amusement parks in the Tohoku region, with a long history dating back to its opening in 1969 and a total of 23 attractions. The park is broadly divided into two areas, offering everything from Sanrio collaboration attractions for kids to thrilling scream machines. An outdoor pool also opens for summer only.
In the Excite Zone, you’ll find thrill rides such as a 587-meter-long roller coaster, a log flume, and a Viking ship ride, plus plenty of attractions adults can enjoy. Don’t miss the three-dimensional maze, an athletic playground filled with tricks and surprises.
In the Joyful Zone, there are family-friendly rides such as Japan’s first Hello Kitty Ferris wheel, a merry-go-round, and Pumpkin Tree. In summer, Kachin Kochin—where you can experience an icy -20°C world—is also popular. Note that the park closes for the winter season from late November to mid-March.
