Fujiya Hotel
A long-established inn in the “inner retreat of Tsugaru,” where you can stay surrounded by the beauty of all four seasons.
Founded in 1926, this long-established ryokan stands in Owani Onsen, Tsugaru’s inner retreat, a hot spring area with more than 800 years of history. Known for its calm atmosphere that suits the retro hot spring town, it is a place where you can unwind and relax.
The large public bath, “Shiki no Yu,” lets you fully enjoy the waters of Owani Onsen, known for staying warm on the body and offering excellent moisturizing effects. There is also an open-air bath facing a garden where you can feel the changing seasons, as well as a spacious large bath with free-flowing natural hot spring water.
The guest rooms are full of traditional Japanese charm, including main building Japanese-style rooms with a sunken kotatsu by the window, and single occupancy is also available in the annex Japanese-style rooms.
Dinner features a Japanese set meal made with seasonal ingredients from Aomori, blessed with flavors from both the mountains and the sea. Additional dishes made with premium ingredients such as Kuraishi beef and abalone are also recommended.
Another highlight is the chance to experience traditional Japanese beauty and culture throughout the property, from the Niō statues that welcome guests at the entrance to the garden with stunning seasonal scenery such as autumn leaves and snowy landscapes, and the gallery room displaying the inn’s prized antiques.
