  • It’s about a 5 or 6 minute walk from Nakazato Station. The garden is half Japanese style and half Western style, and it still keeps its original Taisho era look. If you get the combined ticket with Rikugien, it’s totally worth it.

  • This hot spring area has been around for a long time, and many of the hotels have a lot of history. I really like the autumn scenery here.

  • Right now, only the first phase of the park is open and they’re still building more areas. Tickets are super hard to get and really tough to reserve.

  • Japanese pineapple farming techniques are really impressive! They also make all kinds of pineapple products like juice, cookies, cakes, and even liquor. This farm is definitely worth visiting with kids.

  • The scenery here is beautiful, and you can see the Northern Alps. The autumn leaves are especially stunning.

  • These are real terraced rice fields, and there's even a hands-on school to help people understand how hard farmers work and how rice is grown.

  • Kinoshita Plum Grove is the biggest and most beautiful one.
