  • LeTAO's Double Fromage Cheesecake feels so luxurious! Every bite is packed with rich cheese flavor and a silky texture—it's unforgettable. If you love cheese desserts, you really have to try this.

  • Aikido is a great experience for women—it's a martial art that doesn't rely on brute strength. It really helps you feel healthy and happy, both physically and mentally. I highly recommend it for women to try!

  • Kaga Yuzen is all about hand-dyeing, just like painting a picture! Even if you're not confident in your drawing skills, you can make a beautiful original handkerchief, kind of like coloring in a book. It only takes about 60 minutes to finish one. Such a great experience!

  • The bright colors and patterns on the kimono are one of Kanazawa's traditional crafts. Here, you can learn about how they're made, watch live demonstrations, and shop for products. The best part is, if you book in advance, you can join in on these hands-on activities. Highly recommended!

  • You can try out and learn traditional Kaga-nui embroidery here! I made a DIY keychain, hair accessory, and some other cute little items. I picked up lots of new techniques and ended up with some beautiful decorations. The embroidery process was smooth and really enjoyable—highly recommend!

  • It's one of Japan's Top 100 Castles and one of the 12 original castle towers still standing. Uwajima Castle is really well preserved.

    Kawaguchi Lake is the most developed and lively of the Fuji Five Lakes. Lots of big local festivals and cultural events are held here.

    The exterior looks beautiful and has a modern vibe. It takes a little over 10 minutes to walk to the museum from the station.

  • You can spot Namahage everywhere on the Oga Peninsula in Akita. During dinner at the hotel, they came out and asked us for sake. Some kids in our group ended up bursting into tears!

  • You can try on ancient noble costumes and samurai armor here—lots of fun activities! The staff were super friendly and enthusiastic, making it an unforgettable experience.

  • The castle ruins have been turned into a park where locals can relax.
