The Kanda Festival, Tokyo's biggest festival, only happens every two years. People pray for good fortune, health, and luck. As a Tokyoite, being a child of Edo, the Kanda Festival in May is definitely something to look forward to.

I visited Beppu Onsen for a vacation many years ago and stayed at Suginoi Hotel. The open-air bath on the rooftop had an amazing atmosphere, plus you could see Beppu Bay. It was an unforgettable trip for me. I hope I can visit again once the pandemic is over.
