I happened to run into a group of Japanese students on a school trip. The whole Kiyomizuzaka area was packed with students. Every single one of them was super polite and well-behaved. You can really see how Japanese people learn to follow the rules from a young age.

This market has a real local vibe. Most of the vendors are older folks from the area. It's mainly dried seafood, and the prices at each stall are pretty similar.
