What is Mt. Takao

Mt. Takao is the famed 599m high peak in the western Tokyo city of Hachioji.

With smooth access from Shinjuku Station, get from the city center to Mt. Takao’s closest station, Takaosanguchi Station easily in about 1 hour via the Keio Line.

The mountain boasts a top-tier, 3-star rank from the Michelin Guide, welcoming the many travelers from Japan and around the world who keep this destination listed among the world’s most hiked mountains.
