Using the Toei One-day Pass, this course will take you around the trendsetting areas of Ikebukuro, Shinjuku, and Shibuya, stopping at the latest must-see spots along the Toei Bus Ike 86 route. Hop on the Toei bus and let’s go!

Stop #1: Sky Circus Sunshine 60 Observatory

(Access using Toei: Take the Ike 86 route Toei Bus and get off at the “Ikebukuro Station Higashiguchi” bus stop. From there it’s a 10-min walk.)

Sunshine City has something for everyone: a shopping mall, an aquarium, an observatory, and much more! Following renovations, the observatory reopened in April 2016 as an experience-based observatory unlike anything you’ve ever seen before! Not only can you enjoy 360-degree panoramic views from 251 m above sea level, but you can enjoy sensory activities that employ the latest technology—including virtual reality!

A stationery shop and a café all in one, bunbougu cafe has both tasty food and drink and a great lineup of original miscellaneous goods. Check out the corner where you can freely test various stationery items while you wait for your order.

Stop #4: d47 MUSEUM

(Access using Toei: Take the Ike 86 route Toei Bus from the “Omotesando” bus stop and get off at “Shibuya Station Nishiguchi.” Head to the Shibuya Hikarie entertainment complex on foot from there.)

The 8th floor of Shibuya Hikarie is really quite unique. First off, there’s the d47 MUSEUM, which features a different exhibition about the 47 prefectures every couple months. You’ll likely never see the same thing twice! There’s also the d47 design travel store, which sells magnificent handicraft items from all over Japan, and the d47 Shokudo, where you can try local cuisine from different prefectures.
