“GENTLE,” a Restaurant in Tokyo’s Omotesando Where You Can Enjoy Italian Cuisine and Sushi
Omotesando in Tokyo is filled with shops selling cutting-edge international fashion and miscellaneous goods. It’s a gathering ground for those with high fashion sense, and it’s said that in Japan fashion starts in Omotesando.
Omotesando is also home to excellent restaurants. They strive for top-notch tastes and customer service to satisfy their fashionable customers.
A restaurant serving Italian cuisine and sushi opened in Omotesando in July of 2019. I’ve visited the restaurant and found a lot of great points to recommend it based on, including the food and the restaurant’s atmosphere, so I’ll be introducing the restaurant in this article.
1. Enjoy Italian Cuisine and Sushi at “GENTLE”
GENTLE is located about a 7-minute walk from Omotesando Station. The building is two stories, with both a main floor and basement floor, and it features both an Italian restaurant and a sushi restaurant “Sushidokoro.”
The restaurant is operated by a well-known Japanese business group that primarily focuses on planning and directing weddings. As a result, they offer high levels of introspection and customer service, sure to please even those who frequent high-end restaurants.
2. GENTLE’s 1st Floor: Italian Restaurant
The Italian restaurant located on the 1st floor not only serves meat and fish-based dishes, but they also offer a variety of vegan selections.
The entirety of the selection of over 15 appetizers and desserts are brought to the table to be explained and displayed, creating an exciting feeling of anticipation even while still choosing your meal. This extra effort can be attributed to the wedding planning group that oversees the restaurant.
3. GENTLE’s Basement Floor: Sushidokoro
The B1F level of the building features a quiet sushi restaurant, perfect for a meal with someone important to you.
I’m sure that many travelers may not be sure of what to order, but here the only option is their “omakase course,” or chef’s choice. It of course includes sushi, but the lineup also includes side dishes and seasonal items, so you can relax and enjoy your sushi experience. I was able to try their dishes myself, and the flavors were so refined that they were on-par with the fresh sushi that you can get in Japan’s port towns.
There is also a bar counter set up on the 1st floor of the building. Of course, customers can enjoy the bar on its own, but you can also stop by for a drink after a meal at the Italian or sushi restaurants.
4. Surprisingly Reasonable Price Points
The classy atmosphere of the restaurant may make it seem like only those with money to spare can afford a meal here. However, rest assured that the prices are surprisingly reasonable, making it somewhere that you can stop by during your travels. Compare the prices here at GENTLE to other restaurants in the Omotesando area!
