This is one of the most famous spots in Ibaraki. In autumn, the hills are covered with kochia, and there's always something to see here no matter the season.

  • If you ride the Ferris wheel, you can see the whole seaside park from above.

The location is a bit out of the way, but there are different flowers to see all year round. The park is huge, which makes it even more impressive. You can rent bikes here, and there's also a shuttle bus to get around.

  • There were way too many visitors during flower season, and the traffic jam was so bad that I had to cancel my plans afterward. I definitely recommend taking public transportation to get here.

  • The park was closed last year. Looks like it's open for visits this year. April and May are the best times to see the nemophila in full bloom. No matter the season, you can always enjoy a variety of seasonal flowers and plants here.
