Hie Shrine is known for blessings in love fulfillment, business success, and prosperity. Not just the typical guardian dog statues (komainu), but also sacred monkey statues believed to bring good relationship fortune can be found within the shrine grounds. Amulets and votive picture tablets (ema) featuring monkeys are also available.

The shrine is known for its unique torii gate that resembles a mountain, as well as the "Thousand Torii Gates" of the Inari Shrine pathway which is one of its main attractions. Within the shrine grounds, you'll also find subsidiary shrines like Sanno Inari Shrine, Sarutahiko Shrine, and Yasaka Shrine that are worth a visit.

Every June, it hosts the Sanno Festival, one of the three major Edo festivals, attracting many visitors.
