Last update :

Established in 1951, this Japanese confectionery shop offers freshly baked Ningyoyaki every day. The taste, preserved and passed down through the family for many years, is now a signature sweet of Kinshicho.

Originally, the founder was a wholesale egg dealer who began making the popular Ningyoyaki using his prized eggs. Today, the dough is made using "Kurenai Tamago" from Unozawa Poultry Farm in Chiba Prefecture. The Ningyoyaki, which come in adorable shapes such as raccoons and maple leaves, are also popular.

Without any preservatives or additives, the shelf life is four days including the day of production.

Highlights

  • The red bean paste in the Ningyoyaki is made from Hokkaido-grown azuki beans.
  • The dough uses fresh, rich "Beni Tamago" from Unosawa Poultry and high-quality honey.
  • They also have Ningyoyaki without bean paste (in the shape of a maple leaf).
