Densetsu no Sutadon-ya
(The Legendary Sutadon-ya) Akihabara
A hearty Butadon, a Japanese pork bowl with a secret sauce
It is a popular Japanese pork bowl restaurant that has established itself, not only domestically, but also internationally since it was founded in 1971. The Akihabara location stands out with its large image of the “Sutadon” on its storefront. There is seating upstairs and counter seating downstairs.
With a masterful manipulation of high heat and the wok they provide a bowl of pork belly that is skillfully stir-fried with the secret garlic soy sauce, and laid over a generous bed of rice.
The Best Seller is the standard “Sutadon” that comes with a bowl of miso soup and a raw egg. The menu also has a line up of filling dishes like a Sutadon topped with kimchi or cheese and a Japanese fried chicken bowl. Optional extra meat on your order is available for an additional fee.
