Kitano Meister Garden is a workshop based tourist attraction, founded in 1998 by renovating the former Kitano Elementary School building. The retro-modern building houses about 20 businesses.

Shops that carry confectionery and souvenirs of Kobe line the first floor, and take-aways of popular Kobe Beef croquette and Buta-man (steamed pork bun) are also available.
There are over 60 different workshop studios where you can experience handcrafting, as well as shops with knick-knacks and accessories unique to Kobe, and a café where you can relax on the second floor.

While shopping is fun, we encourage trying various hands-on experiences that are offered here during your visit. The experience making things such as Niku-man (steamed meat bun), replica food-models, small leather goods and accessories is likely to become a lovely lasting memory of the trip.
