The tower is Nagoya’s symbol, built as Nagoya TV Tower for tourism and TV broadcast and completed in 1954. In 2011, TV signals were switched from analog to digital and its function as a consolidated radio tower was ended.
In 2020, the interior was completely renovated with hotels added on the 4th and 5th floors. In May of 2021, it was reopened as Chubu Electric Power MIRAI TOWER.
90m (295 ft) above the ground, the indoor observation Sky Deck offers a panoramic view over Nagoya’s valley and mountains. The night scene is designated as Japan Night View Heritage. It’s worth viewing how the night scene is reflected on the mirrors on the ceiling and floor. 100m (328 ft) above the ground, the outdoor Sky Balcony has no window. Enjoy the fresh air and the beauty of the City.
THE TOWER HOTEL NAGOYA incorporates the historic tower’s original design with mortar, bricks, and steel frame. Take a look at the interior and lighting with arts and crafts by Tokai Region’s artists.
Within the tower, there are restaurants, cafes, and shops with their original goods for you. The first floor is spacious and lively as if it is an extension of Hisaya Odori Park.
