The specialty of this restaurant is the "Maboroshi no Tebasaki", which would make you absolutely addicted for its spiciness and flavor of the "Maboroshi no Kosho(Phantom pepper)" and "Hiden no Tare(Secret sauce)". The spicy pepper flavor goes perfect with beer, so it dissapears from the serving plate in no time as if it was a phantom. The secret to its deliciousness is to fry the chicken wings twice to make them crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside.

In addition to the chicken wings, you can also enjoy other Nagoya specialties such as “Dote-Ni”“Miso Kushikatsu”, “Taiwan Yakisoba”and “Ankake Spaghetti”. The Motsunabe(tripe hotpot) containing their exclusive soup which goes very well with domestic beef tripe is also a must-order dish.

The restaurant has 30 branches in Aichi Prefecture, with several located especially around Nagoya Station and Sakae Station. There is also a branch in Chubu Centrair International Airport, which is especially convenient for travellers. There are also shops in Tokyo and Osaka, which makes us easy to visit.

When in Nagoya, you absolutely can't miss the city's iconic local specialty—the Maboroshi no Tebasaki from Sekai no Yamachan! The wings are fried until golden and crispy, coated in a rich secret sauce, then generously sprinkled with a special pepper salt. Fragrant and mildly spicy, they're finger-licking good and incredibly satisfying, whether paired with drinks or eaten on their own.

The Nayabashi location is always packed at mealtimes. If you don't want to wait in line too long, I highly recommend getting takeout and bringing it back to your hotel. Pair it with fresh strawberries and drinks from the nearby Don Quijote, and enjoy this authentic Nagoya specialty at your leisure in the air conditioning.

You have to try Sekai no Yamachan's chicken wings when you come to Nagoya!

Their signature Maboroshi no Tebasaki have crispy skin and tender meat, with a very prominent pepper aroma. They go really well with beer! I ordered them mildly spicy this time, and I could barely taste any heat. Instead, they were packed with fragrant, savory flavor, and I couldn't stop eating one after another. I was really impressed the first time I tried them, so it's no wonder they've become one of Nagoya's signature foods. If you're visiting Nagoya, you should definitely make time to try them!

A friend recommended Sekai no Yamachan as a must-eat in Nagoya, especially their signature tebasaki—fried chicken wings. If you want something lighter with more variety, order one of their set meals. The chopstick sleeve has fun illustrations showing “How to Enjoy Maboroshi no Tebasaki.” Follow the instructions and you can eat the wings completely clean〜 The outside is crispy without being greasy, while the meat is tender and juicy. The salty, fragrant pepper seasoning has a slight kick that leaves you licking your fingers and wanting more.

Besides the fried chicken wings, we also had miso fried pork skewers and fried shrimp rice balls that day. Very satisfying! Although Sekai no Yamachan also has a location in Taipei, when you're in Nagoya, you have to eat it locally for the real experience.

At the Sekai no Yamachan Main Store, you have to try their signature chicken wings. The skin is fried until crispy and fragrant, paired with the restaurant's unique pepper seasoning. They're savory with a slight kick, and the more you eat, the more addictive they become. The chicken wings are tender and juicy, making it hard to stop eating one after another. They're even better with a drink. The lively izakaya atmosphere gave me a taste of Nagoya's local food culture. It's a popular restaurant worth visiting again.
