Located in Dotonbori, Osaka's busy downtown, this building is like a condensed version of "Osaka, the city of gourmets," filled with delicious food. In addition to the typical Osaka gourmet food such as kushikatsu (deep-fried skewered meat and vegetables) and reasonably priced izakaya (Japanese style pubs), there are also a number of restaurants that offer sweets, sushi, all-you-can-eat crab, and other food selections. This building also offers entertainment facilities, such as a theater in the basement called "Dotonbori ZAZA" where you can enjoy live performances by young comedians, and a karaoke bar on the 4th floor.
At the entrance, you will be greeted by the signature character, "Kuidaore Taro".
You can't help but be smitten by the sight of him beating the drums with a funny expression on his face, wearing black rimmed round glasses and a three-cornered hat with a pop red and white striped costume.
On the first floor, there is a souvenir store selling pudding, key chains, and other goods related to Kuidaore Taro.
There are many sightseeing spots nearby, such as "Kani Douraku", a restaurant with a moving crab sign, and Glico, a landmark of Minami, Osaka. At night, the street is lit up with neon signs, creating a more lively scene. The Dotonbori River, which flows nearby, has a promenade called "Tombori River Walk" and a boarding point for sightseeing boat cruises. One of the most popular cruises is the "Naniwa Tanken Cruise with Rakugo Storyteller," where a Rakugo storyteller guides you through the river with a lighthearted talk.
