This okonomiyaki speciality shop sits in the bustling downtown area of Dotonbori in Osaka. Since its founding in 1945, this veteran shop has been featured in MICHELIN guide: Bib Gourmand for 6 consecutive years and beloved by its patrons for many years. Keeping with its concept of “evolved vintage”, the restaurant is well kept by its 3rd generation owner with a menu of delicious new spins and unchanged traditions.

The ingredients used in each okonomiyaki griddle cake are selected carefully by local purveyors, fresh fish markets, butchers and more from the Kuromon Market otherwise known as Osaka’s Kitchen. The ingredients are delivered in small batches fresh each day, ensuring the utmost in fresh quality.

The most popular menu item is the “Yamaimoyaki” made with a dough that uses 100% Japanese yamaimo mountain yam and no flour. For ingredients, select from shellfish, pork belly and other bites to your liking. Another must-try item on the menu is the Mizuno-yaki. With pork, squid and house-special ground beef, there’s over 6 different ingredients in this rich griddle cake that you will love. The menu lineup also includes the restaurants original roots, the “yoshoku-yaki” , or the “yoshoku-modern-yaki” topped with rich egg noodles. If you come with a group, you can enjoy picking from the set menu options to share and enjoy with friends.

Each dish is made fresh on the flattop grill for you to enjoy down to the very last hot, delicious bite.
