The renowned architect Kenzo Tange designed this 38-story tower hotel. Its convention hall is one of the largest in Japan and often used for events, exhibitions, international conference, etc.
The guestrooms are arranged on three types of floors, EIZAN floor, Sky floor, and Lake floor. All room provide a relaxing environment with a beautiful view of Lake Biwa and Mt. Hira.
The dining selection comes with various options, French, Japanese, and Chinese cuisine offered in the restaurants, and buffet style Lake View Dining in the Biona restaurant with a Lake Biwa view. The hotel also has a café and bar. The Sky Lounge offers drinks from around the world, while the lobby lounge prepares menus from local products.
On the premises, there is a swimming pool 90 meters in length and 23 meters at the widest part, and the shape resembles of Lake Biwa shape. Bicycles are available for rent. Try cycling with a nice breeze coming from the lake and visit the Biwako Flower Fountain, Ishiyama-dera Temple, Mii-dera Temple, and other interesting sites.
