This complex is produced by “Kurumi no Ki”, a popular cafe in Nara. Located in the south of “Naramachi” as the entrance of the town, this complex is composed of “Mayu”, a tourist center, “Kamado”, a restaurant, and “Saezuri”, a cafe.

Mayu has an impressive atmosphere with a building in the style of Western-Japanese architecture, popular in the beginning of the Taisho period. Unlike ordinary tourist centers, staff members will interact and discuss Nara, as well as provide original tourist maps that welcome you to a wonderful journey to Nara. A mini-museum and library built in a cellar is adjacent, allowing visitors to spend a plentiful time.

Restaurant “Kamado” features meals with rice steamed traditionally using firewood. Meals include freshly steamed rice, and food made with Nara local ingredients. Visitors can experience Nara via their taste buds.

After a meal, or if visitors wish to take a break, they may visit the Cafe “Saezuri”. Under a spacious and bright space, make sure to rest your wings and enjoy homemade sweets and drinks.
