Kaikado
A long-established company that expands the traditional Japanese craft of tea caddies to the world.
A long-established tea caddy specialty store founded in 1875. Kaikado's tea caddies began when the first generation made round cans from tin plates imported from England. Since then, the company has continued to produce high quality tea caddies for about 150 years, focusing on handmade products.
When the lid is aligned with the mouth of the tea caddy, the unique motion of the lid dropping and snapping shut is proof of its excellent airtightness. Various foodstuffs can be protected from moisture and stored. The tea caddies are carefully made one by one with craftsmanship, and their precise functionality will not change even after 100 years of use.
The materials used include tinplate, copper, and brass, and the more they are touched and used, the more their color and texture change and their beauty increases. They can also be repaired, so they can be used for many years.
It can be used not only for tea leaves, but also for coffee beans, black tea leaves, pasta, and a variety of other products that do not tolerate moisture. Enjoy the tea caddy in your own way.
