ASTY Kyoto

Located both inside and outside the Tokaido Shinkansen gates at Kyoto Station, ASTY Kyoto is a convenient commercial complex filled with souvenir shops and restaurants-perfect for a stop before or after your trip. From traditional Kyoto sweets and crafts to bento boxes and light meals ideal for eating on the train, the facility offers a full lineup of Kyoto-style delights.

On the first floor, the ASTY Road area features a mix of souvenir shops, retailers like Matsumoto Kiyoshi and UNIQLO, and the Kyoto townscape-inspired dining street Kyoto Omotenashi Koji, where you can relax at various restaurants and cafés before or after sightseeing.
On the second floor, ASTY Square-located just before the Shinkansen Central Gate-offers freshly made treats from Kyodango Fujinami and 551 Horai, as well as the new brand BUBURU from Gion Tsujiri. It’s also a convenient area for grabbing souvenirs, bentos, and bread to take on your journey.
Inside the Shinkansen gate area, you’ll find a curated selection of popular Kyoto souvenirs and bento shops, along with famous eateries like Nishin Soba Matsuba and the traditional sweets café Kyoshimo Housen-perfect for enjoying a final taste of Kyoto before departure.
