Shinsaibashi is part of Osaka Minami’s downtown along with ” Dotonbori.” It covers Shinsaibashi-suji Shopping Street, West Shinsaibashi and East Shinsaibashi. Osaka Metro Midosuji Line / Nagahori Tusrumi Ryokuchi Line’s Shinsaibashi Station and Yotsubashi Line’s Yotsubashi Station are the gates to Shinsaibashi. It is a walking distance to Namba and can be a convenient base for touring around Osaka. There are many lodgings also.
The Shinsaibashi area is the greatest shopping spot. Sandwiched by the Midosuji on the east and Nagahori Street on the west, Shinsaibashi Shopping Street stretches north and south. There are big department stores like Daimaru and Parco, fast fashion stores, popular boutiques, and a number of restaurants are lined, lively with visitors.
Many luxury brand stores face Midosuji Street, which is known as the high-end town along with Ginza, Tokyo. On the west side of Midosuji - West Shinsaibashi - there is “American Village,” which is the epicenter of the latest young fashion, art, music, and other fads for all Osaka area.
