Moritaya Shijo Inokuma Honten
Enjoy exquisite Wagyu beef that looks like a work of art.
Established in 1869 as Kyoto's first dedicated beef store, Moritaya has been providing high-quality and traditional flavors for over 150 years. With its dedicated ranch in Tamba and Wachi, Moritaya raises Kyoto's Wagyu cattle with utmost care in a rich natural environment with delicious water. Among them, the carefully selected "Kyoto Beef" is known for its delicate flavor and elegant texture, often described as a work of art.
Moritaya's specialty, "Sukiyaki," is prepared by heating an iron pot, spreading beef fat, sprinkling sugar, and searing the meat until it turns brown. Then, homemade sauce is added, and the meat is dipped in beaten egg for the first bite. This traditional style has been passed down with the intention of allowing diners to fully savor the natural flavor of the meat.
In addition to Sukiyaki, you can also enjoy other classic ways of cooking such as "Shabu-Shabu," "Oil Grilling," and "Steak." Indulge in high-quality beef in your preferred style.
