Serving as the maritime gateway to Kanazawa, this cruise terminal welcomes numerous visitors daily. Beyond functioning as a cruise ship hub, it aims to create a vibrant atmosphere under the concept of "Creating Liveliness at Kanazawa Port," offering various activities and events for both travelers and locals.
The first floor includes a CIQ area for customs, immigration, and quarantine procedures, along with a waiting area showcasing symbolic monuments of Ishikawa’s traditional crafts. During the cruise off-season, this space doubles as an event venue and a play area for children.
On the second floor, visitors can enjoy the popular observation terrace known as Hyakumangoku Marine Terrace, along with an on-site restaurant. There’s also the Kanazawa Port Learning Experience Room, featuring attractions such as a ship navigation simulator and a diorama of Kanazawa Port, providing an educational and enjoyable experience for families. Additionally, the facility boasts floor-to-ceiling glass on the sea-facing side, offering stunning panoramic views of the Sea of Japan.
From sunset to 9pm, the terminal and its surroundings are illuminated, making it a great spot for evening strolls. (Approximate sunset times: spring – 6:30pm, summer – 7:00pm, autumn – 5:30pm, winter – 5:00pm).
